Western Washington Native American Education Consortium Merit Award

Merit Awards are offered to Native American High School Seniors each Spring to students planning on attending an accredited two or four-year College, Tribal College, or University, including Career Technical Institutes. WWNAEC is an organization dedicated to furthering the education goals of Native Youth in Western Washington, therefore, recipients must be tribally affiliated or direct descendants. A minimum 2.00 GPA is required, and the student must be in a school where a Native Education Counselor is a member of WWNAEC. WWNAEC offers several awards at $574.

Cobell Scholarship Workshop

AISES UW Chapter is cohosting a presentation workshop on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 2:30 to 4:30 in the Hub 340 introducing the Cobell Scholarship application. The Cobell Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for full-time, students enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.

Shawn Carter Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:
A) Students pursuing their first undergraduate degree: high school seniors, students with GED diplomas, students enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate programs, students enrolled in vocational or trade schools.
B) US Citizen or Permanent Resident
C) 25 years old or younger
D) Minimum 2.0 GPA
E) Household income not exceeding $75,000 USD

PHCC Educational Foundation Scholarships

Applications open early February 2023, with applications due May 1, 2023

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must be currently enrolled in or plan to enroll in:
A) a PHCC approved plumbing or HVAC apprentice program
B) a full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college, or trade school, with a major directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession
C) a full-time undergraduate degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, with a major directly related to the plumbing, heating, cooling (p-h-c) profession. Approved majors are: business management, construction management with a specialization in mechanical construction; and mechanical engineering.

There’s Space for Everyone Scholarship

$3,000 – 8 Awards (Applications open April 1, 2023 8am MT until 11:59 pm MT, on May 31, 2023)

Incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the fall 2023 semester are eligible to apply. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States and at least 16 years old.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship

Applications open January 5, 2023 and close May 2, 2023)

The Program is open only to graduate and undergraduate students who (i) will be attending an accredited US college or university in the 50 US states or District of Columbia for the Fall 2023 semester, (ii) who is or will be a legal resident of one of the 50 US states or the District of Columbia as of the date scholarships are awarded, (iii) will be at least 18 years of age or older as of the date scholarships are awarded, and (iv) have a declared major of biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry or a related life science field; and (v) meets the following applicable GPA requirements:

Graduate students must have a cumulative graduate GPA of >3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and have received a cumulative undergraduate GPA of >3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Undergraduate Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors must have a cumulative college GPA of >3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Undergraduate Freshmen must have a cumulative high school GPA of >3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Healthcare Professionals may not participate in this Program. US federal or state government employees may not participate in this Program.

A) Be a BIPOC high school senior or undergraduate student pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
*Note that preference is given to first-generation students.

We assist Indian schools in preparing students for success in college.

DAR American Indian Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to help Native American college and technical student of any age, any tribe and in any state who has financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.25. Applicants must be Native Americans and must be able to prove membership in a tribe that is recognized at a state and/or federal level. This is a $4,000 award. These awards are available for vocational training or college/university undergraduate or graduate students. Preference is given to undergraduate applicants.

Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded once a year to one student. A candidate for this scholarship must be enrolled full time at a 2- or 4- year college or university. Applicants must be Native American. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a 3.25 GPA or higher. The amount of scholarship may vary year to year.

Anne Trevarthen Memorial Scholarship

This one-time scholarship will be presented each April to a high-school senior who will be attending the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Eligible applicants must demonstrate a personal connection to American Indian culture and traditions, as well as evidence of personal commitment to celebrating diversity and to bridging differences between disparate groups. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate knowledge of and/or involvement with one of Virginia’s state-recognized Tribes.

The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native college students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees at tribal colleges, nonprofit, and accredited schools. Any Native American U.S. citizen that is a member or descendant of a state or federally recognized tribe with at least a 2.0 grade point average, and enrolled as a full-time student can apply for a scholarship.

Bishop Blanchet Scholarship:

Bishop Blanchet High School, in an effort to intentionally create community, is seeking to award one, four-year, full scholarship to a committed member of the Clear Sky community. The aim of this award is to recognize and honor scholars who are looking to be both dedicated to Clear Sky while also pursuing an education at this institution. Bishop Blanchet strives to form and educate each student within a challenging, positive, and diverse environment.
